Burning Fat or Losing Fat?

Burning fat or losing fat... what's the difference?

Most diets seem to concentrate on reducing the intake of fat and calories in order to make you lose weight. Simple maths tells you that if you consume less energy than what you spend in your everyday life, you are likely to lose weight.

This rationale works to some degree, but there are a couple of problems with it.

First, it does not take into account that your body goes into "starvation" mode when you limit your intake of fats and sugars. This, in turn, causes your fat loss to plateau. Then, you continue starving yourself (or depriving yourself), but your weight loss speed decreases substantially.

Second, whilst you lose weight, you also tend to lose muscle... and that is not good my friend. Loss of muscular mass may result in serious conditions as we age (brittle bones, etc).

So, losing weight by deprivation is only temporarely effective, and possibly detrimental in the long run.

Burning fat, on the other hand, means to transform the energy stored in the fat to build muscle.

Yes, you may end up gaining some weight, but in muscle. Your flab will become muscle if you do it right.

How do you do it right?

I've found a free 12-part mini course called Big Fat Lies. You may be interested in getting it together with a free ezine called Fat Burning Tips, and a free 40 page report called "Skyrocket Your Fat Loss Success!". The course has been developed by Tom Venuto, who is an expert body builder and specialises on the topic of burning fat.

Just the mini-course alone is worth looking at... and it's free. Check it out by clicking here.

Remember... you've got nothing to lose... but your fat!

Yours in Health,

Skinny Jeff
