Low Fat Apple and Banana Bakes

Greetings!

This weekend you may want to indulge in something delicious and sweet... without putting on weight!

Well, this apple and banana bake may be what you want to try. This recipe serves 4, and it takes about 30 minutes to prepare and bake.... Nice and easy! The best part is that each serving is only 3 WW pts.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cored apples
  • grated lemon zest (one lemon)
  • 4 Tbsp of golden syrup
  • 1 Tbsp polyunsaturated margarine
  • 1 3/4 Oz cornflakes (50 g)
  • 1 Oz dried apricots (chopped) (25 g)
  • 4 fl Oz (125 ml) low fat plain fromage frais.... yum!

This is what you do:

  1. For starters, preheat your oven to 350 F (180 C);
  2. Then sliced the apples into 3 pieces each, and dip them into the lemon juice (this prevents them from going brown);
  3. After that, melt the margarine and combine it with the golden syrump. Add the cornflakes and stir them till coated.
  4. Add the apricots and mix well.
  5. Spray a baking tray with spray cannola oil, or use a baking sheet. Then layer the apples with the conrflake mix.
  6. Place the tray in the oven, and bake for 20 minutes or so.
  7. When done, mix 1 tsp of lemon zest into the fromage frais, and serve with the apples.

Hey, if you can't get fromais, use low fat yogurt (any flavour will do).

Enjoy! (have a nice weekend!)

Yours in Health,

Skinny Jeff
