Do you have a purpose?
Greetings!
I have to ask you this: do you have a purpose in your weight loss journey?
If not... that may be something you may need to find... straight away!
You see... If your goal is to lose weight, and the method is to "diet" and exercise, chances are that you'll lose momentum, lose a few kilos, and get back into your old habits.
In other words, you may lose interest, find it too hard to stick to your regime, and end up quitting your efforts and reverting back to the "big ol' you" pattern.
How do you find a purpose? What sort of purpose should you find? That's where the word "WHY?" comes into the scene.
Why... you have to ask yourself "why am I doing this for?", and you have to give yourself compelling reasons, so that you can reinforce them into your head day after day till you get there.
Why do you want to lose weight? What's compelling to me, may not be compelling to you and vice versa. For some, vanity is the key: they want to lose weight to look good. For others, losing weight is a health necessity: you have to lose weight because you're a walking time bomb (about to have a stroke or a heart attack). Others may want to lose weight because they've been fat their whole lives.
Think about the reasons for you to pursue your goals... make them compelling, and your journey will be a bit easier and "laser beam focused".
Yours in Health,
Skinny Jeff
